Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

The trail of emails on this topic really made me laugh. I can feel the mutual disgust and hatred for all of those kits!

I think all kits really tick me off at some point or another. I really love when you drool over a new expensive kit release, you pre-oreder it, jump for joy when it comes to your door and then it all goes to hell when you open the box! You know the feeling! You get a glimpse of the tracks that you know aren't worth a crap but you fool yourself and say "How bad can it really be? its a new kit!" The joy slowly turns into a personal mission from hell to complete the kit or they will find you with your Xacto knife buried into your skull from frustration.

In plastic I vote for the Tauro A7V WWI German tank. My God, the humanity! You would need a cement truck to fill all those gaps. The fit and construction must have been designed by a junior high school drafting student drop out. In resin, I vote with our friend that mentioned AEF. There are so many air bubbles in that resin I used one of their masterpieces as an emergency breathing apparatus on a recent scuba dive.

You guys crack me up. Great topic.
