DML uses version numbers in the catalog numbers for their kits but they have longer numbers actually on the boxes that change with each issuing of the kit.
For instance, the Pz IVE 3 in 1 kit is # 6264. I believe the intial release is marked on the box 6264-00, unfortunately I don't have the box for mine anymore... do you still have yours? I don't know if it has been re-issued yet with the corrections, nor do I know what the box number will be. But that is how you can tell you have an updated kit.
