Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

lol

I don't see what's wrong with having this as a hobby...you can call it obsession...I, like most others, prefer passion (what's wrong with that? I think it sure beats sitting around and smoking pot lol (not that I've ever done that))...I don't believe I am real picky, but I still want good quality and detail...I don't see what's wrong with that...and really, to each his/her own...some people do what they do to their models because they want to and they like it...I'm not telling anyone to go buy some real expensive interior or whatever...I mean, why? Like most things in life, just do what ya like...I believe that if anything, as a modeler, you should strive to be good at it...you don't have to be a perfectionist, but try not to leave us all guessing what it is that you made lol...I mean, you can half ass it if you want, but why? Anyway, before I go off on a tangent and let my dinner get cold, let me at least say that I just had a revelation...

Perhaps we should just count our blessings for what kits we do get...I think that for Dragon and what they said about their kits being 'the most accurate' perhaps we should try to look at it beyond what it states and rather what it implies...I mean, take the Pz IV D...the Tristar kit is WAY better than the Tamiya kit, but by the same token, the DML kit is better than the Tristar...so really, perhaps that is what is meant by 'most accurate'...I can tell ya, the DML kit is a dream to build...I still like the Tristar kit, but it's not as fun as the DML kit...
