I have just finished the very kit you are contemplating,(European Version) I prefer to build out of the box with minor modifications and only rebuilt the rear up into lockers (I don't like using plastic rolled up tarpaulins) and draped a 'hair net' cam net on the rear.
I have been fortunate to see a few of the real things and have come to the conclusion that most of them were modified in some way or another so that you cannot say what is correct or not.
The two figures in the carrier are nice, but the standing one is suspiciously too small. I have no dramas with their faces and am still trying to improve their eyes. (I cannot paint them!) Apart from that it is a nice kit and close enough to the real deal to allow people to recognise it as a Bren Gun Carrier at first glance. I would say give it a go. |
