Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

... then here's my list for the Tamiya kit off the top of my head:

1) for WW2 version, omit the infantry phone box on the rear bulkhead, fill in the holes
2) fair in with putty the lip of the shell ejection port fairing -- it was continuous and shouldn't have a "step"
3) while the outer part of the drive sprocket has lightening holes, they are missing from the inner rim. Add a few on the part that will be visible.
4) depending on how early your M26 is, the extensive fairing that attaches the drive housing may need to be removed. Add a oil drain plug to it, too.
5) very nitpicky: I think there were tie-downs on the outer face of the fender storage boxes. Check your references
6) Drill out the crane lugs that jut out from the left side of the turret
7) Tamiya shortcutted the shock absorbers. I put pieces of styrene rod. the bottom attachment point isn't visible anyways.
8) nitpicky: the hatch retaining lugs on the drivers' hatches are missing.

If you mean the M26 Tractor "Dragon Wagon" then post that request.
