Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

I've known Cookie for 20+ years but he's dead wrong on this matter. The Italeri kit is a late model. Early Jagdpanthers were equipped with a one piece 88mm gun while later versions’ guns consisted of two parts. The early and mid production Jagdpanthers had a small flush mounted mantlet, while late production models had a larger bolted design. I have seen some late Jagdpanthers without zimmerit, but no early ones without it. A late model could be anywhere on the Western front and it was one of the more effective vehicles Germany used in the Ardennes offensive. I'm not certain of it's use on the Eastern front.
