Hey Ken,
I would recommend this as your first conversion, I agree it is a smart looking vehicle. Its pretty straight forward (as long as you don't decide to remove the cast bins and replace them with scratch built ones). Have you considered the Leopard 1A5 DK conversion from AA? That one is pretty nice too, except that the search-light housing is missing (easy enough to scratch build, or now one could order that from AA as a special order item since it is in the M41 conversion)..
Jason B built a fabulous UNPROFOR Leo 1A5DK which is featured in AFV Modeller Magazine (sorry, don't recall which one).
