The instruction sheet says you put 3 spare track links on the fender. The real ausf Ds (and most ausf Cs) appear to have 4 of them. Pz IV ausf E has 3 links. I guess that DML forgot to update the instruction sheet for the ausf D kit, reflecting this difference between ausf D and ausf E.

This is easy to fix. But, there is a snag. DML provides only 3 sets of PE clamp parts for spare track links, and there is no equivalent injection plastic parts provided in the kit.

Incidentally, Pz IV ausf B (and early ausf Cs?) has 2 spare links on the fender and 2 more links on the sloped side of the engine compartment.
