The hull ball-mount MG (D60) is the same as in the previous ausf E kits. The sleeve of this MG part is of the late type which had single slit, and was seen on ausf Es or later marks. Ausf A-Ds had the early type sleeve which had round holes, rather than a slit, and is the same as that of the hand-carried MG-34. It is just possible that some ausf Ds were given late type sleeves in the front line as replacement parts. But, looking at available war-time photos, I would think ausf Ds were given the early type sleeve as standard when originally manufactured.

The turret coaxial MG part (F26) has the early type sleeve. As it will be mostly hidden when assembled, we can swap the barrels of D60 and F26 to fix this problem.
