Get the newer issue Tamiya Sd.Kfz.222 armoured car with the metal barrel. The kit is OK and you can try replacing the Jerry cans on the side with more accurate ones. Just buy a set of Tamiya's Jerry cans, the new set no, and some strip styrene and scratch-build a new rack. Just wrap the strips around the new cans copying the kit parts.

If you want a half-track any of the new DML of AFV Club kits are good, just stay away from the old Tamiya so-called "Hanomag" Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf. C kit as it is horrible. Theit Ausf. D is better so that's an option too.
