I did exactly that, but I used the lower hull form Italeri's StuG IV. I have one photograph of it and the following description:

I built this a few years ago (more than 10), it was my first serious model. It is a combination of the Tamiya Brummbar upper hull and lower hull of the Italeri StuG IV. The rear hull plate was scratch-built. A PE detailing set from On-the-Mark was used as were a set of the original non-working Kasten tracks. Zimmerit was made from Swiss Labs green putty and a small trowel. It was painted in Humbrol enamels.
