I noticed that there are eight(?) drainage holes on the upper cupola that is not present on the Tristar kit. This and the ribs on the external mantlet is probably due to the limitations of injection moulding.
I also had issues with the following:
- One of the exhaust vanes on the left side was not straight (easily replaced with styrene)
- The straps for the exhaust muffler was not good (again I replaced with styrene)
- The lip on the front plate was too short and was replaced (as mentioned by Paul also)
- The jack brackets are either too close to the side wall or the jack is too thick. Can not get the jack to fit into the brackets.I will probably replace with Aber.
- I chose to use the aerial guard that was L-shaped welded to the armoured turret co-axial MG sleeve. This is not included in the kit.
- The end of the barrel had four slots which I have seen in any photos. |
