Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Roberto....what you say is accurate, but not complete. There were a number of different versions of the M32:

M32 based on M4 small hatch hull. You can use the Tamiya M4 "Early Production" kit here though it really needs some rework on the hull glacis.

M32B1 based on M4A1 small hatch hull. You can use the DML M4A1 Early kit.

M32B2 based on M4A2 small hatch hull. This currently requires a resin conversion (Formations, and others) but DML is rumored to be releasing a plastic version this year.

M32B3 based on M4A3 small hatch hull. This currently requires a conversion...not sure who makes a resin hull but MP models used to do an M4/M4A3 conversion set in plastic to backdate Tamiya or Italeri kits.

Of these, the M32B1 was the most common. After the war a number of these were converted to HVSS...both the Patton Museum and Aberdeen have examples.
