I saw this kit at my FLHS. I have the AFV Club M10, which is very nice (although I'm aware of the problems with the hull interior...and the tracks seem fine if you're building a French vehicle!). While I could order the M36 version from AFV Club (and deal with the problems), how does the Academy kit compare? Would there be less work with it? Buildable respectably OOTB? I have the time so I want to research my options thoroughly (next project will be an M4A3E2 Jumbo using the TWS kit and of course the Tamiya base...).
