Gotta admit that I agree with Wendy's opinion. Academy has a knack for screwing angles and shapes on a lot of their kits. That said, the AFV Club kit will require a lot more work, but it's general shape and dimensions make it a much better basis.

If you decide to go the AFV Club route, you'll find Terry Ashley's article on replacing the engine deck very useful:
