Like Dave said, the M4A2(76)W was never used by US forces that anybody has been able to find. And the 75mm tanks were the preferred vehicle for the Marines because of the bigger HE charge and much thinner armor on Japanese armor.

I haven't looked it up, but it is possible that it was used by Commonwealth forces. Some folks have mentioned the Canadians, but I don't have any references to back that up right now.
