Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

There is at least one published photo of a Sherman captured and operated by the Germans (it was subsequently knocked out by a US tank destroyer). There is also a photo of an M32B3 recovery vehicle operated by a Tiger battalion. When using captured equipment, there was always the danger of being knocked out by one's own troops, so it wasn't as common as you might think (not referring here to Germany's penchant for capturing a whole nation's equipment and adapting it to their use, as they did with Czechoslovakia, France and Austria--this became defacto German equipment and troops generally recognized it as such).
Schiffer has a paperback book devoted to captured tanks in German service.
