The mount isn't upside down, see the cross-piece at the top. The mount was an upside down U-shaped piece. The DML part looks correct compared to the sketch in the "Achtung Panzer" book, but according to Jentz the plate should be paralles to the hull plate. Photographic evidence points to it being in the middle .... so who to believe?
