| Subject: | Friuli ATL-22 tracks do work with Henschel suspensions | |

Friuli makes five sets of track for the Tiger II family of panzers. Three are for combat and two for transport. The combat tracks are destinguished by the connector plates. Two are the early style which consist of a short span plate (which is actually the plate from the transport track) and three bars. These use the 18-tooth drive sprockets. The other is later style with full span connecter plates. These use the 9-tooth drive sprockets. The short span connector plates also have two types; a flat plate or the more common plate with a waffle patern.
All of the above can be used with the Henschel suspension. You are correct in thinking that the tracks are different on the Porsche suspension. The difference is in the guide horns. Porsche suspension requires a different spacing on the guide horns. In order to use the above track on the Porsche suspension, the Germans cut one of the guide horns off of already manufactured Henschel tracks. Look at pictures of Tiger II's with Porsche suspension and you should note that there is only one row of guide horns instead of two as on the Henschel suspension.
The combat track sets from Friuli are ATL-16, 22, and 41. The transport sets are ATL-21 and 42. All combat sets come with the correct drive wheels.
