The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too. |

The Italeri Crusader kits are fairly decent kits as a whole IMHO. However, to make a Mk1 requires a bit of research to correct several problems carried over from the original Mk 111 kit. First are the fender humps on the front of the fenders, then the stowage. The early Mk 1's had only two fender stowage boxes and did not mount the turret stowage box. Leaving off the turret stowage box then requires you to detail the rear of the turret. Additional rivets, small round access hatch, antenna mount and a fixture on the left side of the upper turret just to name a few.
Also, all Mk 1's did not keep the sub-turret. Many had the sub-turret removed and used the space for additional ammo stowage.
The fit of the Italeri Crusader kits is quite good and are quite easy, fun builds.
I've just ordered the ArmorScale 6 pdr. barrel set for my Mk. 111 build. |
