The gun barrel was cut in half directly under the extractor and I then used the extractor to hide the cut as per the instructions given at PMMS web site. I didn’t even need a saw as my hobby knife cut halfway in then I snapped it in two as per the photo below.
Great kit and lots of pleasure to work on so far :).
