The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too. |

| Subject: | KV-14 kit bash, what do you think | |

| For all you KV experts out there. I have a couple of kits in my stash I will probably never get around to. The Eastern Express KV-1s and the Zvesda ISU-152. I would like to build a KV-14 but to my knowledge, Eastern Express is the only company that makes one, and they are extremely rare. So what do you think, would it be doable to cut the superstructure off the 152 and put it on the KV chassis? Anyone ever tried this? I would not be shooting for something technically accurate in every detail, just something that looks pretty much like a KV-14 should. For those who may know, I would really appreciate any corrections I would need to make. I will be using a spare set of tracks from one of my Trumpeter KV kits (I have most of the variants, which is why I will never get around to building these two dogs). |
