Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Hello,

I have a serious or dificult problem to make my Formations M3A1 stuart...

I've broke the original air cleaners...and I whant to use the Academy M3A1 Stuart air cleaners...but they are diferent... The Formations aircleaners, the tubes or the rounded rods are short and curved and they are fited besides the edge of the vehicle...but the Academy air filter tubes or rods are straight and longer....and they are fitted more into the vehicle...

I ask me if I can use the Academy air filter tubes style on the M3A1 (Royal Models makes a detail set to the Academy M3A1 kit and the aircleaners are exactlly the same)... I'm making a M3A1 in Burma in 1945... I know the Academy M3A1 kit isn't a true M3A1, but perhaps they used the same air cleaners tubes or rods...

Help!
Thanks in advance...
Jordi
