Tony,

The AFV Club ammo and decal markings are post-WWII. The main difference with the projectile is the O-shaped lifting ring, which Verlinden gets correct in its 155mm shell set. Kurt Laughlin an I couldn't find any evidence for the pallets being used in WWII either.

We worked with Jay at TMD on the fiberboard charge cannisters, and they are quite nice. The ones that come with the AFV Club ammo set are the metal cannisters seen later in the war.
