Tamiya and Academy are diesel engined Stuarts (based on the Aberdeen one).
The air filters on diesel M3 have ducts going into the air vent on the rear deck.
On gasoline ones, the ducts are going through the rear deck close behind the air filters. This is the Formation kit.
Actually, Royal Model too is wrong for a "classical" M3.
There were around 200 diesel M3 and none made it out of the US.
