Hello Stephane,
Oh yes, the Tasca kit is by far the best Luchs kit.
All previous issues are cheaper but lack detail and a lot of re-work needs to be done.
Tasca's Luchs can be built out of the box easily. And still easily be the best one.
If you decide to build this Luchs with all turret hatches open I recommend you also get Eduard's set for the Tasca Luchs.
With this set you get quite enough of turret interior details to liven up the otherwise bare turret insides. In the same set Eduard also provides a neat mesh grille for the rear cooling exhaust grille.
Tasca's kit does have the rounded mesh for the cooling intakes only, of excellent quality by the way.
A final tip; a few pics on internet galleries show the forward crew hatches on the hull open upwards and out.
This is wrong; unfortunately for the crew (it must have been hell to open these hatches without a lot of discomfort..) the hatches open inwards and down!
Here is a pic of one of my duo of Luchs's depicting vehicles from the
Panzer Aufklaerungs Abteilung 9. Normandy. Summer 1944.
Happy Modelling
Jerry |
