Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Tim,
If you can find someone with an old MP Models M4A4 conversion kit it contains two short sections of styrene T-54 track with duckbills for extending the Tamiya vinyl track.

The sections had the male/female ends for connecting the ends of the Tamiya track.

You probably won't use the whole section, but styrene is fairly easy to work with.

Another possibility is to squash cast your own version of MP's idea in resin.

hth,
mike

ps The duckbill extenders were prone to breakage and were quite often replaced by plain end connectors. Not uncommon to see incomplete sets of extenders on tracks.
