Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Subject:  Tiger I kits, quality ones besides DML?List thread.

Ok, so I'm way behind the boat on this one, couldn't justify buying any new kits while I have so many sitting on the shelf, and now it seems that all the DML Tiger I kits are sold out, with the exception of the upcoming Wittmann Tiger on cyber hobby for $44!!

So my question is this, what other companies make good quality, accurate Tiger Is? I dont want some 5 yr old Tamiya kit, I want new tooled kits with the accurate turret shape, etc. any suggestions?

PS: Why did DML make the Tiger I, which was hugely popular, then discontinue the kit, meanwhile they're STILL making 3 or 4 different King Tiger variants, AND some of their super old kits like the StuG III F or their halftracks, etc. Pump out some more Tiger Is and the rest of us will buy them! but I really dont need 3 different versions of the Porsche turret KingTiger.
