The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too. |

Hello Richard,
Like Kip I am in the process of building the Italeri Sahariana.
Somewhere halfway through so I can only tell about The Story Sofar.
Italeri's choice to pick this vehicle for a 1/35 kit is to be applauded.
In my humble opinion the kit can be built by any intermediate modeller, as you describe yourself.
I agree with Kip's remarks on the fit of parts here and there.
Pin marks is another problem at times and I personally don't think the main gun is very impressive; rather crude and lacking somewhat in fine detail (if there ever is going to be an aftermarket update I will for sure replace it) amongst other things.
Summing up, I think it is not as good as recent Dragon releases, which are not without modelling problems, as in 'shake and bake' either, but then again it certainly is not all that bad either.
Kicking in an open door : whether the kit is worth the money is entirely up to you.
It is an Okay Kit, no more. And no less.
Happy Modelling
