Hello Paul ,
Not sure what Mr. Greenwood is talking about . But I believe one of the best L/24 barrels is the Jordi T-29 . I have bought many and used these for years . While it does come with a very nice cap , the cap is removable . The inner barrel is also nicely rifled , as I said up till now this barrel has always been my choice and still is . One other barrel that is new but more exspensive is the Aber one . This is an excellent barrel also rifled and has a separate recupertor tube so as the barrel slides in the recupe tube as the real one does . I now use the Aber barrel but the Jordi is still my second choice . Clair try prying off the cap maybe its just stuck ? Hope this helps and good luck and Happy Modeling.
