Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Brian, Rick...checking a couple of references I can't find any indication that the travel lock was folded downward toward the floor. Photographs show it either in the "up" position against the rear bulkhead as depicted in the Tamiya kit, or "engaged" against the rear of the gun (you can do this by cutting and modifying the kit parts in conjunction with the Aber update set...I was tempted to do so with my Marder IIIM but I chickened out).

I would recommend going with the configuration in the kit. Even with the door folded down and the travel lock in the "up" position, there's plenty of room for crew access and for ammo to be passed up.

Neil
