My own personal favourite was the old DML M4A4/Firefly. I built an ARV Mk.I & Crab from this kit, using Resicast conversions. OK, I know it was too long in the hull, but once you knew how much to saw off it could turn out very well. If I was doing Sherman conversions now, I'd probably pick Tasca's Firefly as a base (this is a superb kit!) or Tamiya's M4 (going to use this as a base for a Ic Firefly conversion using a CMD turret).
