The stowage bin on the left side is based on a museum addition (the Brits added a spare right fender to replace the left rear fender, so the tank got an extra bin). Aftermarket brass fenders are available from Aber.
The tracks have no detail on the inner face, the idler wheel has no separate rim, the jack is molded to its brackets, all the tools need clip details added.
Tamiya's Wespe has better parts which could be cannibalized, but that starts to get expensive. There are more accurate Panzer II kits from Russia, but the engineering of the kits is more troublesome. Since Tamiya missed the boat by not using their Wespe tooling to redo a Panzer II, we will probably have to wait for a fresh one from Dragon (who did just do the Marder II). |
