Hi guys,
Building the AFV Centurion I encountered two problems I would like some advise on.
First- The 'rubber' tires have to be glued to the wheels. Normally, I would paint the wheels to avoid the 'rubber' eating the plastic. But on this kit, the lay-out of the tires and the wheels, wide tires 'overhanging' slim rims, giving a rather small area to start with, and an even more dubious bond if glueing 'rubber' to paint. Is the AFV 'rubber' non agresive, and if not, is there another solution to 'seal it' from the plastic?
Second- Welding beads are missing, especially from the upper hull front/middle roof section, or faint, almost non existent along the turret top plate. Is this correct, is this tank for example welded from the inside or to an extremely high standard? Or do these weld beads have to be added? I can't find any clear pics of this area.
Hope you can help me out, with this really gem of a kit! Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Alex |
