The tank in the images in the link is just a plain Mk.5. What are refering to as the plated over 2" bombthrower? I thought the bombthrower was only on the Mk.1 turret and was circular and directly behid the loader's hatch. If you are looking at the square bolted plate to the left rear of the loader's hatch that is just an plated over the antenna mount for the older No.38 radio antenna on Canadian Centurions.
The splash guard is visible on other Mk.5 Centurions. I think it is just a modification to later turrets. It is not a Canadian modification. I have seen this added to British Centurions also.
If you want images of specific details on this tank just let me know as I live about 10 minutes from it. |
