Hi Jerry,
First off if you do ever decide to build another FAMO, I'd recommend tring to get the Decal Star tilts - IMHO they blow the Cromwell ones out of the water. Although I've seen them sold for as much as $100 USD on eBay! Hopefully MS Models does come through with new Decal Star stock - They have been saying that Decal Star is coming back for many months now....
And in regards to the Bilstein equipped FAMO(Sdkfz 9/1) - The Calibre 35 conversion represents the prorotype crane FAMO that retained two rows of crew seats, and NOT the production FAMO crane version(as seen in the photos that you mention). If you want to build a production Sdkfz 9/1, you'll need Tiger Model Designs 9/1 conversion. I have this convesion and I think it's great!
