Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Yes, there were. British forces used the ARV Mk I and II, which were based on the Sherman V chassis nmostly, with several also made on the III chassis. Only the ARV Mk I was used in combat. The improved Mk II was accepted for production, but did not see action afaik.
See here: http://www.corazzati.it/scheda_arv.htm

The M32 was designated the Sherman ARV Mk III.

No, you cant use the turret of the Achilles/M1o. And yes, you could use the hull, but you'll need to rebuild it to M4A3 chassis. The M10 series used the Sherman M4A2 chassis with smaller engine deck doors, and different rear plate. The prime mover M35 (resembling a turretless M10A1) was based on the M4A3 chassis. See PMMS for a good way of building this beast.
