Ouch!
I ordered the new Italeri Sdkfz 140/1 kit from my LHS and found that the suggested retail price is $44.00! I paid that since it wasn't the shop's fault, but man oh man, that was expensive. I might not have given it a second thought if it had been a capital tank like a Tiger or Panther. But this one is small, with just plastic and some mesh for the screens. There is no photoetch at all. I do look foward to building this, but the price seems likely to keep away the younger, less affluent modelers.....(Gee, did I just refer to myself as affluent?)
Italeri makes nice kits and has some cool subjects, but they are getting really expensive.
