Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Hi,
I live in australia and I think we get very expensive AFV's in 1/35. Big retailers that are also importers make you pay ridiculous prices even for 1/72 subjects. I always compare with a smaller retailer that brings the same stuff but 2-3 dollars cheaper (in 1/72). When you compare prices vs. US, you always get the feeling you're being ripped off.
While getting some Eduard or Revell items may make sense (ok, but Revell is being manufactured in China) and the stuff brought directly form China (ie. Dragon) you wonder what's going on here.
In terms of quality, Italeri si no competitions these days, except maybe for the Camionetta Sahariana.
A big reason I am loyal customer to DML (Dragon) is because they include a lot of things as spares, and the overall quality is fantastic.

Footnote: Not that I can't afford any of those expensive kits, but there is a point when it just becomes overpriced.

My 2 cents though,

Juan
