Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Kits to avoid?... I don't have anything against Chinese subjects, even was thinking about buying a Type 85 and Type 98, but avoid almost all of them... They all lack several details and comes with motorization holes, they were engineered more like toys than model kits. The best Chinese subjects are:

HQ-2 Missile in Transporter trailer
Type 83 152 mm. Self propelled gun
Type 89 120 mm. Anti-tank gun
Type 89 122 mm. Multi-barrel rocket launcher

These last three even comes with driver's compartment, engine compartment and turret interior, I think. They're pretty good and cheap, only the HQ-2 missile on transporter trailer is a little expensive. Here you have the reviews by Terry Ashley:

Hope this helps. Most regards

Jose
