Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

DML (Dragon) released a fully-loaded Late Tiger kit #6253, now OOP. Last year they cut out most of the photo etch and re-released it as #6406. They also put out an "Alfred Kurzmaul" variant #6416, now OOP, for the DX07 show.

This year they're detailing the parts of #6406 with simulated Zimmerrit and releasing it as #6383 - I don't know if #6406 will remain on sale.

DML also released an Initial Tiger #6252, now OOP.

Cyber Hobby releases always go OOP quickly. They've put out an Afrika Tiger #6286 and a Wittman Kursk Tiger #6350, both of them Earlies. They're currently taking orders for a hybrid "Fehrmann" #6335 which is essentially the Wittman with different wheels and tracks.

I can't tell you what is upcoming, but I can see no reason for this product line to halt.

Common parts? They could take all day to list. Some sprues are common to all kits. The later kits tend to include many spare parts from the earlier ones.

Could you tell us what Tigers you wish to build?

David
