| Subject: | Hobby Boss M4 HST build tip | |

Hi all,
I just started building Hobby Boss's new M4 High Speed Tractor (155mm version) in 1/35th. It seems to be a nice kit, but I'm no M4 HST expert so I can't comment on its accuracy aside from it looking like photos of them I've seen online. In any case:
I'm not sure if anyone anywhere else has figured this out, but here's a tip I figured out completely by accident with regard to the track return rollers. The instructions call for you to install the rollers (F12) to the return roller arms (F18/F19) and then install the assembly to the hull. I would recommend that you DO NOT DO THIS. If you do, and slide the return roller all the way down the shaft on the return roller arm, it won't line up with the bogies or the idler wheel--they'll be too close to the hull. Install the return roller arms to the hull, then slide the rollers on after you've installed the bogie assemblies and the idler arm.
Fortunately I was being lazy and didn't feel like cutting off and cleaning up the return rollers until last!
YMMV,
