I agree, it's a nice little kit. I knocked out the suspension and lower hull assembly in probably less than 2 or 3 hours of building.
My only other comment (not necessarily a complaint) is that the attachment points for the bogie assemblies look pretty flimsy. I think I would've engineered it little differently. Instead of having the two pins insert into that L-shaped part that attaches to the sides of the hull (sorry don't have the part number handy), I think I would've had the part of that part molded as part of the rear half of the bogie and then attach to the bottom of the hull. The flat part that attaches to the sides of hull could've either been its own part or molded integral to the hull. Oh well. I used CA glue for attaching the pins on the bogies into the mounts on the hull, hopefully that proves durable.
I'm planning on the subassembly route for the big chunks too. Are you using any online reference photos for painting the interior bits?
