Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Hi

Well I don't know exactly what part of the world is selling Tamiya kits at twice the price of Dragon but here in the UK it's certainly not the case.

A quick check on internet sites had several UK based suppliers with the Tamiya in stock at around £23. I tried to find the Dragon on but without success. Their kits go for around anywhere between £25 to £29.

That's the other thing about Dragon I've noticed, that things seem only available for a short while.

Here is a typical example of the Tamiya

If you browse the same site you'll see the Dragon prices.

So with prices about the same I think I'd go for the more correctly dimensioned Tamiya kit which can be easily enhanced from items kept by most modellers. Going that little bit further makes it even better.
