Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Whether the kit was originally shrink wrapped or wrapped later on is hard to say. No kit enteres the US wrapped. Distributors and wholesalers wrap kits after they clear customs. A lot of Maquette kits I have bough wholesale don't have wrap, but some do.

With Maquette quality control is really hit or miss. You get mix/match parts from various kits, and sometimes you get missing parts.

Maquette is out of business anyway. Maybe it was one of the kits they did at the end with leftover parts?
