Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Hi Alan; So very little is known about the "E" series tank and the prototype that is modeled may have been very different if it went into production. I would guess (and this is just a guess). But sence the hull sides of the E 100 were not sloped like the Tiger II. A heavy cast, rounded shaped, side arrmor would make good sence. And as much trouble as it would be to repare a blown track on the E 100 as the Mouse I would wont to protect them as best as I could. And even though the side skirts on the Tiger II were sheet steel they were heavy enouph to detanate a hollow charge and it took two men to install them. So the Germans were relizing that mud guards could also be beefed up and become extra arrmor. My 2 cents. Steve
