There were two types of Tiger II tracks, one was handed and one was mirrored.
1. The "normal" two-part track that was used from the start of the production run until late in the war, about April 1945. This used the nine tooth drive sprocket. This was not handed, only mirrored. This is the track Dacid Nickels is referring to. So he's correct.
2. The late war single link type which used an 18-tooth driver. This is also shown on your 'Porsche' Tiger II from Bovington. This particular Tiger was a test bed vehicle with the later tracks installed, it's a one-off. The other photo you show is a tru late war Tiger II with the later one-piece tracks. So you are correct.
The Geschutzwagen under construction photos do not show the tracks installed, but the 18-tooth driver is installed, so this vehicle would have the later tracks, as depicted in the Hobby Boss track accessory kit.
I believe there was a futher type of track, very early too, but I don't have my Tiger books handy to check.
