Hi Ken,
In the wake of Paul's overall comments, let me give you some details of what I think Paul means.
I just finished the Dragon version of a Firefly Mk V and did by best to bring Dragon's version 'up to Tasca level'.
That was a succesful exercise but only at the cost of no less than 68 individual corrections.
One of the main problems with the accuracy of the Dragon Firefly is the fact that the weld seams on the hull are totally wrong.
Dragon interprets them as sunken whereas in reality they were not at all sunken. I filled all the welds with cut-to-size strips of Evergreen and used Archer's fantastic weld beads decals to correct them.
Apart from that I almost used the complete Aber p/e upgrade set for the Firefly on my kit as well as replacing the barrel with one of the best metal/brass Firefly barrels; the one by ArmorScale.
It was a very rewarding project but after all, when I add up the total cost for my Firefly Upgrade it comes pretty close to cost of the OOB-version of Tasca.
As far as I read the reviews (PMMS amongst others) all you would need to upgrade the Tasca 'Fly would be in the area of replacing the periscope- and headlight guards with p/e and small details like that.
HTH & Happy Modelling
