Hi William,

Though the older kit can be build into a reasonable looking M4A3E8, it is a rather crude and simplified kit compared with the new Thunderbolt/105mm E8 kits.

If you want to update the older kit with AM (CMD turret, tracks, PE. etc.) you spend a lot more then buying the new DML kits, so I would go with the new offerings.

Eventhough these new kits have some problems of their own too, they build OOTB into good scale depictions of the original.

I have added a pic of a M4A3 75(w) HVSS based on the new 105mm kit below. The running gear is updated with home made volute springs to make it realy working, and with AFV parts to improve the detail.
