Forums - Modelling / Kits

The kits forum is for the discussion of model kits. Typically questions on availability or certain subjects and quality of existing kits are posted here. Short reviews are good here too.

Hi Ed,

Go to Jadar Hobby in Poland, they have all you need for the kit. While it only started at $14USD, it will quickly rise in price as you add to it. In my opinion, if you are enjoying it, it is worth it:

This is the Armo gun barrel which does a lot to improve the look:

Note the investment in plastic rivets is paying off in the second photo (now I prefer Tichy Train Group to the Grandt Line pictured)

Aber makes a PE detail set and a fender set but adding PE sides to the turret is a bit much especially since the rivets end up flat. Use them as templates to place where to drill out the side vision slots. As Aber's first detail sets, it is relatively sparse:

A note about the above set, STB means scratchbuilt...

Tracks. On my kit I found a Polish made set which was VERY nice. ModelKasten makes a set and so does Friul (ATL-45)

Armo makes a nice suspension set for the Mirage C7P, 35534, which is based on the Spojnia 7TP so it fits...

If you want an interior, you can start with the Armo C7P set for most of the parts including an engine:

You will need a main gun which can be the Bofors wz.37 37mm ATG from TOM Modellbau (it can be found under several brands so shop around).

The hardest is finding good references on the vehicle. Of course, you can go the cheap route and use only the Internet:

A much better model can be built, especially with an interior, if you find a copy of the OOP Militaria Special on the 7TP light tank.

Regards,
Saśl
